. I would never make that assumption. Obviously it will be 100% functional eventually. The point is that there is a window of opportunity and it is not at all clear if Barcelona can make that window. Hector said the release now was "late sumer". I take that to be September which is a slip. He also made contradictory statements on sampling, saying AMD is sampling and also saying AMD is on schedule to start sampling. Meanwhile Intel is making noises about pulling Penryn in to perhaps Q3. Who has credibility at this point? Who has been pulling schedules in and who has been slipping them? I think it is a very real possibility that Penryn will be here before Barcelona and that's not at all good for AMD.
