but taking some out before the collapse and then buying back slowly after the collapse works too. It took the NASDAQ ~15 years to get back to its peak in 2000.



Both true. I'd assume that many investors who buy NASDAQ stocks have learned to cash in their "winners" if they have watched the way those shares trade. Who can forget LU? As Buffett would council, quality/good fundamentals will weather any storm.
