OKYO Pharma achieves key stability milestone for Urcosimod in clinical development

By demonstrating long-term stability, OKYO Pharma has strengthened its regulatory submission package, addressing an essential factor in the drug’s future approval and commercialization. The company recently completed Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) stability assay testing of single-use ampoules containing urcosimod in an ophthalmic solution. The results were highly promising—ampoules stored under refrigerated conditions maintained stability for over two and a half years, while initial three-month data from samples stored at room temperature showed potency levels at or above 100%. These findings reinforce confidence in urcosimod’s shelf life and its potential for real-world clinical use. Directa Plus CEO on Q1 revenue jump on new contracts in Romania and textile market recovery

Directa Plus CEO Giulio Cesareo talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s strong start to 2025 and the strategic impact of its environmental operations. Cesareo shared that the company saw a 40% rise in first-quarter revenue to approximately €2 million, driven by new contracts in Romania and a recovering textile market in Italy. “We have a significant contract with Midia International,” Cesareo explained, adding that work on oil recovery from drilling platforms resumed after a slowdown in 2024 due to the war in the Black Sea. The full acquisition of Setcar, a Romanian environmental service company, plays a central role in the company’s strategy. Cesareo highlighted that Setcar not only holds a full suite of environmental certifications but also occupies a “geopolitical significant position” as a potential gateway to Ukraine’s reconstruction. Environmental applications remain a key focus for Directa Plus, especially the use of its graphene materials to decontaminate water and soil. In collaboration with OMV Petrom, the company successfully decontaminated 44,000 cubic meters of water, recovering 10,000 barrels of crude oil. Research and development are also advancing. Directa Plus is working with Nant G Power on battery materials and refocusing on opportunities in sectors like tyres and PFAS filtration. Oriole Resources wraps up pivotal 2024, targets major gold milestones in 2025

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser and CFO Bob Smeeton take Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s latest full-year results and upcoming milestones across its key exploration projects. Rosser highlighted a pivotal year for the company’s Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon. At Bibemi, a recently completed phase five drilling campaign is feeding into a revised Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), expected this quarter. “We believe there's very good potential to not just increase the amount of gold, but also improve the category of the resource,” said Rosser. The company is also advancing an exploitation license application for the project. At Mbe, maiden drilling continues, following trenching results that indicated strong mineralisation. “We think Mbe South has significant potential to host a substantial gold deposit,” Rosser added. Smeeton detailed a £2 million reduction in operating loss and financial support from BCM International. “Since year-end, BCM have given us $1.1 million, largely replenishing CapEx,” Smeeton noted. He also confirmed progress on a joint venture agreement with Managem at the Senala project in Senegal. Rosser pointed to potential sector-wide revaluations driven by high gold prices and possible M&A activity. “Oriole’s shares are significantly undervalued,” he said. Tamboran Resources boosts NT gas supply with Arafura deal

Tamboran Resources Ltd CEO Joel Riddle talked with Proactive about the company's newly signed letter of intent (LOI) with Arafura Resources Ltd to supply gas from the Beetaloo Basin. Riddle explained that both companies are based in the Northern Territory, and the agreement supports local strategic projects by providing 25 terajoules (TJs) per day to Arafura's critical minerals project. The agreement aligns with Tamboran’s strategy of prioritising Northern Territory gas use. “We’re a Northern Territory company. We’ve been focused on appraising the Beetaloo Basin now for all 12 years I’ve been in my job,” Riddle said, highlighting the company’s long-term commitment to the region. Riddle also pointed out the environmental edge of Beetaloo Basin gas, which has a CO2 content of about 3%, significantly lower than the 15–20% typically found in other Australian basins. He said supplying this low-carbon gas to the East Coast would help reduce emissions by displacing higher-carbon alternatives. Discussing supply capacity, Riddle compared the Beetaloo to the Marcellus Shale in the US, noting it could provide enough gas to support the East Coast for “hundreds of years”. Tamboran plans to bring 40 TJs per day online in the first half of next year under an existing 15-year agreement with the NT Government. The Arafura deal will add a further 25 TJs daily. Riddle said work is underway with pipeline partner APA to ensure infrastructure capacity. The company aims to finalise a binding gas sales agreement with Arafura soon.
