Allergy Therapeutics turns the corner, targets market launches

Allergy Therapeutics PLC (AIM:AGY, OTC:AGYTF) chief executive Manuel Llobet and chief financial officer Shaun Furlong talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s financial turnaround and ongoing progress across key clinical programs. Allergy Therapeutics reported a return to operating profit before R&D, exceptional and fundraising costs, supported by topline growth and strict cost control. Solvonis Therapeutics engages PharmaVentures to support key AUD assets

Solvonis Therapeutics PLC (LSE:SVNS) CEO Anthony Tennyson talked with Proactive about the company's strategic move to commercialise two clinical-stage assets targeting alcohol use disorder (AUD). Tennyson explained that Solvonis has engaged PharmaVentures to support valuation and potential out-licensing for two lead programs—AWKN-001 and AWKN-002. PharmaVentures was chosen based on its three-decade track record in biopharma M&A advisory, with over 1,000 deals completed. Tennyson noted, “We’ve selected them for three reasons: their expertise, their experience, and their reach.” The two assets originated from Solvonis's planned acquisition of Awakn Life Sciences, a transaction expected to be completed in the second quarter. AWKN-001, now in Phase 3 trials, targets severe AUD in the UK and EU. PharmaVentures estimates the asset could yield around £60 million in upfront and milestone payments, plus significant double-digit royalties. AWKN-002, focused on moderate to severe AUD in the US, is in Phase 2B planning. This program could generate approximately £150 million, based on comparable transactions. Tennyson emphasised the unmet medical need, citing a 75% relapse rate within a year for current AUD treatments. “That represents a significant commercial opportunity for Solvonis,” he said. Tamboran Resources boosts NT gas supply with Arafura deal

Tamboran Resources Ltd CEO Joel Riddle talked with Proactive about the company's newly signed letter of intent (LOI) with Arafura Resources Ltd to supply gas from the Beetaloo Basin. Riddle explained that both companies are based in the Northern Territory, and the agreement supports local strategic projects by providing 25 terajoules (TJs) per day to Arafura's critical minerals project. The agreement aligns with Tamboran’s strategy of prioritising Northern Territory gas use. “We’re a Northern Territory company. We’ve been focused on appraising the Beetaloo Basin now for all 12 years I’ve been in my job,” Riddle said, highlighting the company’s long-term commitment to the region. Riddle also pointed out the environmental edge of Beetaloo Basin gas, which has a CO2 content of about 3%, significantly lower than the 15–20% typically found in other Australian basins. He said supplying this low-carbon gas to the East Coast would help reduce emissions by displacing higher-carbon alternatives. Discussing supply capacity, Riddle compared the Beetaloo to the Marcellus Shale in the US, noting it could provide enough gas to support the East Coast for “hundreds of years”. Tamboran plans to bring 40 TJs per day online in the first half of next year under an existing 15-year agreement with the NT Government. The Arafura deal will add a further 25 TJs daily. Riddle said work is underway with pipeline partner APA to ensure infrastructure capacity. The company aims to finalise a binding gas sales agreement with Arafura soon. Buru Energy secures strategic deal for LNG development

Buru Energy Ltd CEO Thomas Nador talked with Proactive about the company’s newly announced strategic development agreement with Clean Energy Fuels Australia Pty Ltd (CEFA) to co-develop the Rafael Gas Project. Nador explained that CEFA brings strong midstream and downstream capabilities, backed by I Squared Capital, which manages around $40 billion in assets. "They bring the right credentials, to look after the downstream and midstream elements of the project," he said. Buru, meanwhile, will focus on the upstream side of the Rafael development. The deal is described as a “watershed moment” for the company, as it provides a clear pathway toward developing a long-term gas and condensate business in northwest Western Australia—an area currently dependent on imported energy. Under the agreement, CEFA will fund, build, and operate a small-scale LNG facility on-site, with Buru paying a processing fee over the life of the project. This significantly reduces Buru’s capital exposure to only the upstream infrastructure—namely, two wells, one of which is already in place. A final investment decision is expected in late 2025 or early 2026, with first cash flows anticipated in the second half of 2027. According to Nador, the projected annual free cash flow from the Rafael development is expected to surpass the company’s current market capitalization.
