SomnoMed lifts revenue 19% amid soaring demand

SomnoMed CO-CEOs Amrita Blickstead and Karen Borg talked with Proactive about the company’s performance and opportunities in the global sleep apnea treatment market. The company, which develops proprietary oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea, is seeing significant demand as patients seek alternatives to traditional CPAP therapy. “About 60% of people fail to be able to use actual CPAP therapy because it’s quite invasive,” Borg explained. SomnoMed’s devices offer a less intrusive solution and are distributed through dental channels in 28 countries, with strong uptake in the United States and Western Europe. The co-CEOs discussed a major tailwind from the rising use of GLP-1 therapies for weight loss, which is pushing more patients to explore alternative sleep apnea treatments. Increased public awareness of sleep wellness through apps and consumer health trends is also fueling demand. To meet this growth, Blickstead said their immediate focus was on ensuring “the right foundation for profitable growth.” This included strengthening the company’s financial base, reducing costs, paying down debt, and investing heavily in manufacturing. Production capacity has increased by over 40%, with revenue up 19% year-on-year and EBITDA for the first half reaching AUD 5.80 million, compared to a AUD 1.10 million loss previously. Thor Explorations says Douta-West discovery adds gold ounces for upcoming PFS

Thor Explorations Ltd (TSX-V:THX, AIM:THX, OTC:THXPF) CEO Segun Lawson talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about progress at the Douta gold project in Senegal, with a specific focus on the Douta-West licence. Lawson outlined that Thor acquired the licence a year ago and has since been advancing drilling efforts there. He confirmed the company has now made a fresh discovery, which includes oxide, free-flowing, recoverable gold material. “These are wide intersections between 12 and 20 metres wide, with very good grades between 1.3 and just over 2 grams per ton,” Lawson said. He added that the anomaly runs for approximately two kilometres and could be a significant contributor to the overall economics of the project. Lawson noted that the next step is to fully drill the strike length of the discovery zone. This will allow the company to include the newly identified ounces into its mine plan and potentially enhance the preliminary feasibility study (PFS). He also highlighted that the company is not pursuing exploration for academic purposes, but rather with a clear intent to build and deliver value to shareholders. Acusensus talks global expansion and growth drivers

Acusensus Ltd Managing Director talked with Proactive at AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s progress in road safety technology, its global expansion, and the upcoming launch of a new product line aimed at road worker protection. Alex Jannink, Managing Director and Co-founder of Acusensus, explained how the company pioneered enforcement cameras targeting behaviours like mobile phone use and seatbelt compliance. “We supply these automated enforcement cameras...and we receive a fixed monthly fee essentially for those services,” he said, outlining the company's outsourced business model under long-term government contracts. While 93% of revenues currently come from Australia, Jannink confirmed growth is underway internationally, with active customers in the United States and United Kingdom. Acusensus has also secured a nationwide speed enforcement contract in New Zealand, expected to contribute significantly from the next financial year. Jannink highlighted the broader social mission behind the business: “The whole goal of the company is to change behaviours and to save lives.” He pointed to strong behavioural impacts from previous deployments, including a six-fold drop in mobile phone use and a 21% reduction in road fatalities in New South Wales. CleanSpace eyes 30% growth, EBITDA breakeven

CleanSpace Holdings Ltd CEO Gabrielle O’Carroll talked with Proactive about AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s growth trajectory and product innovation in powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs). CleanSpace was founded in 2009, based on an innovation developed during the SARS epidemic. The company's differentiator is its lightweight, head-mounted respirators that contrast with the bulkier waist-mounted models commonly available in the industrial market. “We are steadily approaching that breakeven EBITDA, profitable EBITDA position, which is our goal,” O’Carroll said. O’Carroll explained that CleanSpace's respirators are well suited for industrial sectors like mining, infrastructure, and petrochemicals. The products are marketed in key regions including the United States, Western Europe, and Australia. The company has 52 employees and recorded AU$9.2 million in revenue in the first half, up 26% year-over-year. CleanSpace is targeting annual revenue growth of 25–30% and expects to achieve positive EBITDA soon. To drive this, the company is focused on raising brand awareness, engaging directly with end users, and supporting occupational hygienists and safety managers.
