Inspired PLC CEO Mark Dickinson breaks down FY24 highlights, net zero strategy

Inspired PLC (AIM:INSE) chief executive Mark Dickinson takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's 2024 financial results, its ongoing mission to help clients reach net zero, and the outlook for 2025. Dickinson provided an overview of the group’s four complementary divisions: software, assurance, ESG, and optimisation. These work together to help Inspired’s B2B clients manage energy costs, comply with ESG reporting obligations, and implement real carbon reduction strategies. “The backdrop continues to be increasingly favourable for Inspired as we help those clients navigate their way through those challenges,” Dickinson said, citing continuing demand despite lower energy prices. FY24 was a year focused on strengthening the balance sheet. Dickinson said the company eliminated all contingent consideration liabilities, raised capital, and reduced net leverage from 2.59x to 1.47x adjusted EBITDA—giving the business a firmer platform for growth. The company’s non-financial KPIs also moved in a positive direction, with cross-selling increasing and more than 50% of optimisation clients returning for additional services. Inspired is now serving 420 clients with optimisation support. Looking ahead, Dickinson said trading in 2025 started in line with expectations, and the business is progressing well on previously delayed projects. He remains optimistic about the pipeline and demand drivers, particularly in energy conservation, ESG compliance, and net zero support. Mt York Gold: Kairos Minerals targets major growth

Kairos Minerals Ltd managing director Dr Peter Turner talked with Proactive about the company's Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Turner outlined why the company is enthusiastic about the asset, highlighting the 1.4 million ounce gold resource, which he said is largely hosted in a single open pit with clean metallurgy. “There's enormous upside in terms of the resource,” he said, pointing to ongoing technical work and a key land access deal with Pilbara Minerals as drivers for growth. He noted that the mineralisation is continuous over three kilometres and spans three key prospects: Main Hill, Breccia Hill, and Gossan Hill. Drilling along this corridor has consistently intersected gold, with further upside potential extending 1.5 kilometres onto neighbouring ground recently secured from Pilbara Minerals. Kairos is well funded, with A$12.4 million in the bank and a further A$10 million expected from its deal with Pilbara Minerals. These funds will support an extensive 20,000–30,000 metre drill program, targeting both resource growth and conversion of inferred resources to indicated. Turner said a priority focus is the Main Hill extension, with plans to conduct detailed diamond drilling and incorporate any new results into a future resource update. He also said that the company is entering a pivotal period: “We feel that 2025 is probably our kairos moment.” The year ahead will include new drill results, feasibility progress, and a resource update. Sintana Energy advances Orange Basin portfolio with key exploration updates

Sintana Energy CEO Robert Bose recently spoke with Steve Darling from Proactive to provide a comprehensive update on the company’s Orange Basin assets, highlighting significant progress across PEL 83, PEL 90, PEL 87, and PEL 82. Bose sahred positive results from the Mopane 3-X well on PEL 83, operated by Galp. The well, which targeted new AVO anomalies 10 and 13, delivered better-than-expected results across nearly every parameter, confirming the presence of high-quality oil and condensate. This discovery has the potential to establish a new development hub, positioning PEL 83 as a key asset in the basin. Moving forward, activity will focus on evaluating partnership opportunities, with Galp expected to seek new partners in the coming quarters. The first Chevron-operated well on PEL 90 did not encounter commercial hydrocarbons but was still regarded as a technical success. Bose emphasized the company’s confidence in the exploration potential of the block, noting that the joint venture partners plan to return for further drilling later this year. Bose also provided an update on PEL 87’s Saturn Superfan prospect, where Woodside Energy chose not to proceed after completing a 3D seismic survey. Despite this, Sintana remains highly optimistic and is now in discussions with alternative supermajor partners. “We’re very excited about opening up the doors to larger, potential partners,” Bose stated, highlighting the continued confidence in the asset’s potential. Chevron has officially completed its farm-in at PEL 82, located in the Walvis Basin, paving the way for drilling operations next year. Bose also pointed to the growing political support for oil and gas development in Namibia, with upstream regulatory oversight now moved directly under the President’s office—a move he called “a huge step forward” for the industry. This shift reinforces the government’s commitment to fostering a thriving energy sector that could significantly contribute to national GDP growth. #pro
