I've had it for about 5 or 6 years now. I put carpet in a dental office and when I went to pull up the old carpet...the old padding was built into the carpet and was glued down. After about 500 yards of scraping and jarring viciously...
I developed the same problem.
You will have to limit your typing and any repetitive actions, also don't let the symptoms worry you.
I haven't been to the doctor with it but it's gotten more bearable over the years. The braces help and if it wakes you up at night just let your hand hang over the side of the bed and it helps...no joke. You may want to find a "something" to set by your bed that is the right height to hold on to or let your hand rest on it. The bed rails may even work (that's what I use).
You probably wont believe the next thing and your doctor may scoff at this but find a GOOD chiropractor that claims to be able to help and go a few times. Take a fish oil pill (cod liver oil etc.)every single day and drink lots of water.
If your overweight try and lose a few pounds, that can help too.

Don't chase stocks!
