ACG Metals CFO says hold hedge strategy is already paying off

ACG Metals Ltd chief financial officer Patrick Henze talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s recently announced gold hedging strategy and its importance during ACG’s transition phase from precious to base metals. Henze explained that while ACG Metals is ultimately targeting copper production from its Gediktepe mine in Turkey by 2026, the mine currently generates strong cash flow from gold and silver. The company has moved to hedge 50% of its gold production at US$2,875 per ounce through January 2026, helping secure revenue in a volatile pricing environment. He noted: “We are currently producing gold and silver, which is a perfect transition for us to become a copper producer in ’26… we can benefit and protect a bit the cash flows by hedging the gold.” The hedge program, executed with Alpha, involves no cash outlay and allows ACG to retain upside exposure above US$3,065 per ounce on the hedged portion. Henze emphasised this strategy helps ACG provide more certainty to bondholders and equity investors by de-risking key financial metrics for 2025. Lithium ION Energy secures joint venture with SureFQ to advance Urgakh Naran Lithium project

Oriole Resources wraps up pivotal 2024, targets major gold milestones in 2025

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser and CFO Bob Smeeton take Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s latest full-year results and upcoming milestones across its key exploration projects. Rosser highlighted a pivotal year for the company’s Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon. At Bibemi, a recently completed phase five drilling campaign is feeding into a revised Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), expected this quarter. “We believe there's very good potential to not just increase the amount of gold, but also improve the category of the resource,” said Rosser. The company is also advancing an exploitation license application for the project. At Mbe, maiden drilling continues, following trenching results that indicated strong mineralisation. “We think Mbe South has significant potential to host a substantial gold deposit,” Rosser added. Smeeton detailed a £2 million reduction in operating loss and financial support from BCM International. “Since year-end, BCM have given us $1.1 million, largely replenishing CapEx,” Smeeton noted. He also confirmed progress on a joint venture agreement with Managem at the Senala project in Senegal. Immunic CMO discusses significance of MS Awareness Month; progress with treatment

Immunic Inc (NASDAQ:IMUX) chief medical officer Dr Andreas Muehler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s work in multiple sclerosis (MS) as MS Awareness Month concludes. Muehler discussed the importance of continued research funding and the community’s role in advancing treatment. He highlighted the company’s lead asset, vidofludimus calcium, which is in advanced-stage clinical trials. Results from the phase 2 EMPHASIS trial in relapsing-remitting MS showed a reduction of about three-quarters of new MRI lesions compared to placebo. Muehler said, “This is a very good value,” and pointed to biomarker data showing a strong, dose-linear suppression of neurofilament — a sign of nerve cell damage. A phase 3 program involving more than 2,000 patients is now underway, with data expected in 2026. In progressive MS, Immunic is close to reporting data from its phase 2 CALLIPER trial, having already seen positive biomarker signals at 24 weeks. Muehler addressed patients’ fears of disability, stressing the company’s commitment to tackling "progression independent of relapse activity (PIRA)", a key unmet need. He emphasized vidofludimus calcium’s dual mechanism — both anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective — and its potential to become the first oral drug targeting the full spectrum of MS.
