Arizona Gold & Silver: 8 for 8 success at Philadelphia Project

Arizona Gold & Silver Inc. CEO Mike Stark takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the latest drilling results at the Philadelphia Project in Arizona. This consistency supports the company’s goal of developing a bulk-tonnage, low-grade, heap-leachable resource. Additionally, Stark mentioned that hole 136 could be one of the most promising yet, with visual indicators suggesting high-grade mineralization. He also confirmed that holes 137, 138, and 139 have been completed, with assay results expected soon. Plexus Holdings CEO on £3m fundraise & growth strategy

Polarean Imaging chief business officer on potential of Xenon MRI pharma trials

Polarean Imaging PLC chief business officer Alex Dusek talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s latest expansion into pharmaceutical-sponsored trials. This new initiative involves a multinational trial utilising Polarean’s Xenon MRI technology to assist drug development for lung diseases. Dusek explained that traditional lung function tests, such as spirometry, are crude and highly variable, making trials costly and time-consuming. Xenon MRI offers a more sensitive measurement, reducing variability and allowing drug companies to conduct trials with significantly fewer patients. "If you're designing a trial, let's say it's 25 to 50 patients with Xenon, that would take you 250 to 500 patients with the more traditional measures," he noted. Polarean is providing pharmaceutical companies with imaging biomarkers and harmonised data analysis, streamlining drug development. The company is also establishing a network of clinical sites equipped with Xenon MRI, creating an ecosystem that benefits sponsors, trial sites, and Polarean itself. Tonix Pharmaceuticals secures MCDC grant to advance next-gen Mpox & Smallpox vaccine development

Tonix Pharmaceuticals CEO Dr. Seth Lederman joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce that the company has been awarded a grant from the Medical CBRN Defense Consortium to support the continued development of its next-generation vaccine candidate. MCDC is a consortium comprising industrial, academic, and non-profit organizations that assist the U.S. government in advancing medical solutions to protect against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. Dr. Lederman explained that the vaccine candidate is being developed as an improved immunization option for mpox and smallpox, with the potential for delivery via innovative alternative methods designed to enhance patient compliance, ease of administration, and overall tolerability. The MCDC grant will support comprehensive market analyses, target market identification, and commercialization planning for both private and government sectors. The investigational vaccine is a minimally replicating live-virus formulation based on a modified orthopoxvirus. It has demonstrated the ability to provide single-dose immune protection against mpox in preclinical studies while offering improved tolerability compared to traditional live-virus vaccines. Previous studies have also shown its effectiveness in protecting animals from lethal intratracheal exposure to a more virulent strain of the mpox virus. Tonix is currently preparing for Phase 1 clinical trials in both the United States and Kenya.
