(PINKSHEETS: ATLJ) is proud to announce that the Company has opened its own Point of Presence (PoP) in the Russian Federation in Q4 of 2006 through collaboration with its joint venture partner. The technical site for the equipment is shared by the data-center of Golden Telecom Inc.
The Company has also made an application to the "Rossvyaznadzor" for the license to provide all Dial-Up, ADSL and VoIP services to residents in the city of Moscow and surrounding areas.

Feb 02, 2007 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Asia Telecom Ltd (Other OTC:ATLJ.PK), a telecomms company, has revealed it opened a Point of Presence (PoP) in the Russian Federation in the fourth quarter last year.
The company said it opened the PoP through a collaboration with its joint venture partner and confirmed the technical site for the equipment is shared by Golden Telecom Inc's data centre.

Asia Telecom confirmed it has applied to the 'Rossvyaznadzor' for the licence to offer all VoIP, ADSL and dial-up services to residents in Moscow city and surrounding areas. It plans to become a VoIP telecomms company focused on setting up and maintaining operations in Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

The company claimed that establishing technical infrastructure and gaining the appropriate licences, will help it to reach its USD30m target for its joint venture's annual revenue.


Jan 30, 2007 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Asia Telecom Ltd. (Other OTC: ATLJ.PK) is proud to announce an update on one of its many ongoing projects in Azerbaijan.
The Internet service provider (ISP) division of Asia Telecom Ltd. commenced operations in June 2005. It is a provider of dial-up and ADSL services in the territory of Azerbaijan. This division today manages at least 18% of the dial-up market in Azerbaijan and recently began providing ADSL (Broadband) services in Q4 of 2006.

In Q4 2006, the ISP division began the construction of its own data transmission network and placement of DSLAM equipment for the assignment ADSL (Broadband) services in Baku city, Azerbaijan. As of the end of Q4 - 2006, the company has laid a significant portion of the planned 200 km of fiber-optical cable. The completion of this project is scheduled for the end of February 2007.
