Ask - is the lowest a dealer/MM is willing to sell the stock for.
Bid - is the highest the dealer/MM is willing to pay for the stock.
So if you the investor want to buy Bany stock, you buy it at the ask, and sell it at the bid, that is how dealers/MM make money, commonly known as the spread.
The last few days, I have seen a large majority of the transactions taking place at the ASK. That is really good because people are buying from the dealer when the trade goes at the ask price. I have hardly seen any trades going at the bid when I am able to watch live quotes, this means hardly anyone already holding the stock is selling. I see this as a very good sign!!!
