Time Finance CEO on Q3 update: record lending & growth to resilient small businesses

Time Finance PLC (AIM:TIME) CEO Ed Rimmer takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s performance in the third quarter, highlighting a record gross lending book and improved arrears management. Rimmer explained that Time Finance provides funding solutions to small businesses, including invoice finance, asset finance, and secured loans, typically supporting businesses with turnover up to £10 million. He said, “We help businesses grow, but we also help businesses to survive as well.” The company’s lending book reached a record £210 million at the end of February, with arrears falling to 5% from 6% a year earlier. Rimmer noted this progress came despite challenging market conditions and was achieved without compromising credit quality. Margins have also increased, with profit margins now at 40%. This was attributed to tight cost control and improved efficiency, including leveraging technology and streamlining internal processes. Time Finance has not increased its headcount significantly post-COVID, which has helped support margin growth. Rimmer also addressed the broader economic environment, pointing to interest rate pressures, inflation, and increased insolvencies, but emphasised that small businesses remain resilient. St George Mining unveils major JORC resource

St George Mining Ltd executive chairman John Prineas talked with Proactive about the company's newly announced maiden JORC resource, which he says could be among the world’s most significant niobium and rare earth deposits. Prineas said the deposit features over 500 intercepts of high-grade mineralisation and boasts a rare combination of high grades and shallow mineralisation starting at surface, supporting an open pit development. “We think, possibly the second highest niobium deposit in terms of grade and, probably one of the highest rare earth deposits,” he told Proactive. He confirmed the company has already seen interest from industry players, with some expressing interest in potential partnerships and even mergers. The resource was released following St George’s acquisition of the project in late February, and the company has committed to a drill program starting in the coming weeks. According to Prineas, this program could potentially double the existing resource. In Brazil, St George has assembled an experienced in-country team and engaged a global EPC contractor to progress mine development. Kodal Minerals nears completion at Bougouni Lithium project, prepares for exports

Kodal Minerals PLC (AIM:KOD) CEO Bernard Aylward takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's latest update on its Bougouni lithium project in Mali, where construction is nearly complete and preparations for export are underway. Aylward shared that the optimisation and ramp-up phase of the processing plant has been going well, with over 11,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate already stockpiled and ready for export. "We've been making some adjustments as we go through this process and some improvements to the feed into the crusher... achieving a good product," he said. He noted that the company expects to reach nameplate capacity within the next couple of months, pending a final review and approval by the construction team. Kodal is also progressing steadily on the mining front, with a good run-of-mine (ROM) stockpile in place. The interview highlighted that the mining license transfer process is still ongoing, though Kodal has completed all compliance steps and is now awaiting sign-off from the Committee of Ministers and the President of Mali.
