Galliford Try CFO on strong H1 results & 2025 outlook

Immunic presents at ACTRIMS forum as it awaits key CALLIPER MS trial data

Immunic Therapeutics chief medical officer Dr Andreas Muehler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's strong presence at the 10th annual ACTRIMS Forum, where it presented two key posters on multiple sclerosis (MS). He highlighted that Immunic’s investigational drug, vidofludimus calcium, has potential neuroprotective properties that may benefit both relapsing and progressive MS patients. One of the posters examined baseline characteristics of past progressive MS trials and contrasted them with Immunic’s CALLIPER trial, designed for non-relapsing patients with minimal inflammatory activity. The second poster explored preclinical data on the drug’s mechanism of action, emphasizing its potential to target activated microglia and support neuron survival. Muehler noted significant engagement from the MS community at ACTRIMS, with many keenly anticipating the CALLIPER trial’s readout in April. “It’s really one of the very few late-stage drugs with a potential neuroprotective effect,” he said, adding that the data could provide new hope for progressive MS patients who currently have limited treatment options. Charbone Hydrogen partners with ABB to develop 15 green hydrogen facilities in North America

Charbone Hydrogen Chief Operations Officer Daniel Charette joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with ABB, marking a significant step toward scaling green hydrogen production across North America. The agreement outlines plans to develop up to 15 modular and scalable hydrogen production facilities over the next five years, targeting industries that currently rely on grey hydrogen, such as steelmaking and heavy industrial processes. Under the MoU, ABB will serve as Charbone’s preferred supplier for modular electrical substations (eHouses), providing design, engineering, fabrication, and testing. ABB will also assist in standardizing core engineering systems across Charbone’s project portfolio to enhance energy efficiency and reliability. Depending on project needs, ABB may also take on automation, electrification, and telecom roles. One of the first projects in this collaboration is Charbone’s flagship Sorel-Tracy facility, located near Montreal, Québec. Expected to be connected to the Hydro-Québec grid by Q2 2025, the facility will utilize hydroelectric power to run green hydrogen electrolyzers, creating a scalable model for future sites. Following this, Charbone’s next project will be in the greater Detroit area, a key hub for automotive manufacturing. This initiative aligns with the Government of Québec’s Green Hydrogen and Bioenergy Strategy, which aims to reduce petroleum consumption by nearly 1 billion liters annually by 2030. By promoting green hydrogen adoption in key industrial sectors, the province could cut greenhouse gas emissions by 4 megatons of CO₂ per year—equivalent to removing 1.2 million gasoline-powered vehicles from the roads. Clinical study SKNJCT-003 shows positive trends as company advances skin cancer research in UAE

Medicus Pharma CEO Dr. Raza Bokhari joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share updates on the ongoing SKNJCT-003 clinical study, which is being conducted at nine sites across the United States and aims to randomize 60 patients. An interim analysis conducted after enrolling more than half of the targeted participants has shown encouraging results. The study reports a clinical clearance rate exceeding 60%, with the investigational therapy demonstrating strong tolerability across both tested dosage levels. Notably, no dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) or serious adverse events (SAEs) have been observed, and there have been no systemic effects or clinically significant abnormalities in laboratory results, ECGs, vital signs, or physical exams. These promising findings will be submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as part of a Type C meeting request in Q2 2025. In parallel, the company is advancing its clinical initiatives for non-invasive basal cell carcinoma treatment with a newly proposed study. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center trial has been submitted for approval to the UAE Department of Health. The study aims to enroll up to 36 patients at prominent medical institutions, including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Shakbout Medical City, Burjeel Medical City, and the American Hospital of Dubai. Participants will be assigned in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive either a placebo or one of two dosage levels of the experimental treatment.
