Growing a company to provide profits means taking an approach to fully understand the end goal. Strategic Acquisitions set a company up for being a bigger player in industries (i.e. telecom). While the profits may not be there at present, the strategy to continue adding pieces to the puzzle in order to build a network and find ways to produce savings through consolidation, and produce new areas for growth.

There are different strategies companies can employ
-Spoke pattern
A company can expand its business operations in another country by buying stakes in a larger company there and operating under that brand name.

-Hub pattern
A company can expand its business operations in another country by buying stakes in a larger company there and operating under that brand name.
Riding on the success of the acquired company

An emerging company can avoid the challenges of establishing itself in a new market by acquiring an existing company and building on its success.

Here are some examples of companies that have grown through acquisitions, although these are larger companies, the examples stand:
Disney
Disney's acquisition of Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox has been a successful example of a strategic M&A strategy. Disney acquired large movie franchises, merchandise rights, and a valuable back catalog.

Sunglass Hut
Desai Capital acquired Sunglass Hut in 1988 and then grew the company by acquiring smaller stores and implementing new strategies. Sunglass Hut grew from 150 stores to over 800 and achieved 37% in annual returns.

Google
Google's acquisition of Fitbit in 2021 for $2.1 billion allowed it to enter the wearable technology market and compete with Apple and Samsung. The acquisition also helped Google expand its health and fitness data capabilities.
