The Fed painted itself in a corner. Back in early 80's, Paul Volker raised rates bigly to stem inflation, double digits. Today, we are so indebted beyond those days, the country couldn't even entertain the thought. Wouldn't be able to service it. Lowering rates, more inflation. This is an election move. It's all BS.
