Thanks Len.. I agree with you... on gold and silver... as insurance and on how to store it (and in what denomination)... additionally, I also like the look (especially the proof edition), touch and feel of it.. it feels more real I guess compare to paper... yellow and shiny.. 24ct gold.. there's nothing like it...

I like gold better than silver though... also even better than diamond..

I'm still trying to figure out what or why gold has such a high value and why it is holding it's value well (though one can arguu it's not too well compare to good stocks), even as we keep mining more and more (increasing the supply every day). I know it's not enough gold for the bretton woods system (therefore it is expensive) but now there is plenty of gold floating around above the earth already (and gold is also no more required to back the currency)...

When I was a teenager, I once did mine some gold in Australia for a day (as a tourist attraction).. I only got a some as they already took most of the big nuggets... tough work but seems to be quite rewarding if we find a lot of gold...
