Yep, I agree. I trade my OTC penny stocks in a Roth IRA so no records to keep or taxes to pay. I tend to hold crypto too long because I hate keeping records or paying taxes on the gains. If it tanks and you owe the taxes you need to keep some cash around to pay them or will be forced to sell off crypto at a loss. That's what happened to me in penny stocks in the late 90s. Huge gains and then the OTC market tanked and I had taxes to pay and had to sell off at a loss to pay the taxes. That's when I opened my first Roth IRA around 2000 and only trade my OTCs in them. Never a dime of tax to pay.
