No shares were not canceled. The CUSIP was suspended and ticker symbol deleted by FINRA due to the liquidations outcome. That outcome being insolvent BioAmber leaving all of its creditors impaired to the tune of $100 mil or so.
That means it’s illegal for you to ever receive any type of monetary payment or shares in a NEWCO.
It is also impossible for you to sell the shares or for them to split lol. The corp they are attached to BioAmber Inc has long ago been voided for non compliance
