Celtic plc (LSE: CCP) or CLTFF has the world record for the most consecutive years of a football club never to be relegated from the Top Tier League of their country to the Secondary League of their country.

For 134 consecutive years, Celtic has been in the top tier of Scottish Football and never relegated!

The first "international" football match in world history occurred in 1872 when Scotland took on England. The match ended in a 0-0 tie.

Afterwards, football became so popular that Celtic FC was formed in 1888 to help Irish immigrants suffering from the Great Famine.

Six days from today, reigning Scottish champions Celtic take on reigning English champions Manchester City at the University of North Carolina.
