Dump Kings? Are you serious?

To date, no other company has stepped forward with a contract or a joint venture that KBLB is willing to sign. We all understand there could be a lot of negotiations going on behind the scenes, but once things turn official, they become material events that KBLB needs to announce.

Kings bet on a company whose fortunes were uncertain. They are still waiting for silk production to stabilize at commercial scales so they can begin to produce products for sale. It’s been a long wait. Kings had every right to walk away from the contract. The fact they haven’t yet done this speaks quite highly of their interest and moral fiber.

As far as I know, neither KBLB nor Kings indicated there was a mutual gag order in effect. Before the December batch, Walter Wee probably thought KBLB was a Dead Silkworm Walking kid of scenario. Giving them a 6 was a sign of faith that things would turn around.

Ever heard of ‘A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?’ That’s precisely why KBLB ought to do everything possible to ensure it provides the contractually obligated silk asap. Dropping Kings would not only wipe out their only existing contract, it would reveal KBLB to be an unfaithful suitor. Not even Thompson is that stupid.

Walter Wee is in the same boat as the rest of us. Things are looking good, but we’ve seen that movie before. I can’t blame him for being a little cautious this time around. Once burned, twice shy. Yep, it fits.

For everyone out there who thinks I am arguing KBLB is destined for another failure, read my message again. I remain cautiously optimistic that KBLB’s fortunes have turned for the better at last. We’ll know more by the end of the month or the middle of the next, depending on when Thompson decides to share. I hope Walter Wee soon becomes comfortable with the state of affairs and starts talking up Spydasilk, but can’t fault him for his rating or later silence.
