Re: Wouldn't that be worth it? Come on, I'd hate to see Klaus given the same treatment as those on SI Mod AMD who don't spout the party line. Lots of people have trouble admitting they are wrong, especially when they invest a lot of time and emotion in what they used to put their faith in.

Worth it? I hardly think so. Some critics will be critics no matter how good you are at debating their arguments. But at least people like Dan3 and Pgerassi are absurd enough that I can show a link that debates their fantasies within a 5 minute period. With Klaus, he's smart enough to be dishonest in a completely different way. He knows how to attack your character in a subtle enough way that you end up spending most of your time defending yourself, rather than defending the argument. And all the while, he'll subtly change the argument until it gets to the point where it's unprovable. Like claiming that Barcelona will win 40% over Intel across the benchmarks. AMD says it will (or at least the media has presented AMD's claims in this way). You can say that this is absurd for any number of reasons, such as the fact that they've failed to deliver promises in the past. But by doing this, you really haven't proven anything. Then Klaus can call you biased, and if you accuse him of wishful thinking, he'll call it a personal attack and put you on the defensive. Trust me, battling with these tactics is useless. I'd rather just wait for the benchmarks and have them speak for themselves. I say: let Klaus believe in AMDMagic(tm) if it makes him feel better. The argument is moot until it can be proven otherwise.
