Obviously both parties benefit at any given point, so neither side wants to lose whatever that election scam control is.

If something is broke and needs to be fixed and the people involved don't make any effort, then they need it to stay broke for their status quo. IMO.

I've seen this directly with cities and corps I've been employed with.
