Band of Brothers is the best WWII series ever, IMHO. The ones centered around Bastogne are exactly as a couple of my WWII uncles described it: Whether or not one was wounded or killed, everyone suffered greatly. It affected one of them so much that he lived in a house with the thermostat jacked for the rest of his life, one other, who was in an armored division, never said a lot but climbed into a bottle and died young. I cannot watch it more than once per year, it is that powerful.
