Good point.

Interestingly enough, I received an e-mail this mornig regarding yesterday's sell off from a real estate professional. It was a mass e-mailing to all his clients that was so full of misinformation. He actually was trying to spread fear in order to sell his product. Statements like, Investors lost all their gains in their 401ks, mutual funds, IRA's, etc from last year. Here's an actual excerpt from the e-mail:

If you're counting on the stock market (like most Americans) for your retirement, this news should give you a sick, queasy feeling that should eventually turn to acid reflux! This is the big lie that they're telling us in America, and most people are falling for it. But please understand just this one thing. Regardless of what happens in the stock market, the commodities market, the bond market or any other financial market, including housing...My rents aren't going down even one penny!

This is criminal.
