I’m in Canada, we do not recognize short term and long term gains. We do have a higher inclusion rate on capital gains, and the tax rate is determined by our total annual income from all sources.

To sell at 24.5 and re-buy lower would not trigger a wash, even to sell at 21.5 would not as my overall cost average is .11
