a saudi based fusion reactor could supply them with energy for internal consumption and depleting supply of crude. more of their future does require increased energy to recover arable land from the sands and desalination for water?
air conditioning a must have.

but they might need remote engineering help. also, theyd need increased security for those assets and might need to improve the happiness of their own people and neighbors to facilitate that happy state?
