I sometimes get a photo of the delivered package. When a package is AWOL I've looked for the photo and either there is no picture or there's a picture but I can't identify where the photo was taken, so not helpful.

And there was a time that the Amazon driver decided that he would leave packages for the entire office complex in our drop-off area. I would do what you described: I'd make the rounds and drop off packages at the proper locations. I stopped doing that when one of the guys in the complex started ordering rocks for his mineral collection (I opened one of the boxes without checking the name on the label so I saw what was inside).

There was an episode of Cheers where someone (Woody??) followed Cliff Clavin the mailman as he made his deliveries. After Cliff completed dropping off letters at each door of an apartment building, like clockwork the tenants opened their doors and started to trade the envelopes with others on the floor since Cliff made so many mistakes.
