FKA BioAmber was liquidated and shut its doors back in 2018. It was liquidated for less than 5% of its liabilities leaving all of its creditors impaired.
Not sure how it works in fantasy land but here in reality If there was an open short when the trading stopped that person or persons lucked out as all they needed to do was show the stock was worthless to get paid. No shares needed to be returned it was a 100% win.
