Big Jim......His rise to fame, (with exception to the coal fields, where he is not well liked) came when he bought out the Greenbrier Hotel.....CSX had previously owned it and ran it into the ground, using it as their personal playground, not paying their own bills, running off staff to the point it lost one of its 5 stars...The hotel was broke and up for sale and it looked like corporate interest companies like Marriott would buy it which no one wanted....Then he got the PGA to have a tournament here (not for long though, lol) more later...

So Jim used some of his money he got from selling coal mines to russia and bought it.....Thats how he got elected Gov........He also lives here in town, Lewisburg and still coaches the girls basketball ball team....He wanted to take on the boys team last year but the school board said nah, to most in the state he is a good guy, even opened the doors of the hotel to victims of the flood in 2016 which killed 22 people....Sharp contrast to the preacher in Houston who didn't want his carpet dirtied.....

He also set up a big sports training complex the Saints used for spring training, not sure if they still come but it gave him good PR...

And He held big concerts around July 4th with top country artist,

Justice is an ass, He ran many a coal mine supply company out of business by not paying, tried to get out of pensions set up for miners and did his best to return coal mining back to the early 1900s.....He has no friends in the mines he operated....

He stiffed the company who helped him get a multimillion dollar check from the insurance co for the flood at the hotel....And most of the employees there hate him.....

After the flood, a local excavation company, lynch, spent 2 weeks clearing roads in White Sulphur with no charge......Justice stiffed them after the first PGA tourney,....They set up grandstands for him around the 18th and all......when the next year came along Justice ask them to do it again.....They said they hadn't been paid for the last year yet and until they were the answer was no.....Justice cut them a check, they cashed it and......There were no grandstands for the second year....lol

Justice lost the PGA tourney for not paying them,,,,There was even a DOJ investigation into all of it,,,Never have heard any more about it........Now there is a LIV tournament at the Greenbrier .......

Now there is a hubbub about him not paying loans for the Sportsman's club and they are about to take it over...Something along those lines....Its part of the greenbrier, (you have to pay 300k just to build a home there,,,,,thats just a fee),,,,Anyhoot the homeowners there are none to happy

I have gotten to know the school principals and all pretty well, they all swear he is trying to break them and at the time declares a surplus for the state budget...

Sound familiar? Trumpian? Yep.....No one hears much of the bad, but those of us around here know better.....He is famous for this after a Bette Midler insult to the state....And as I said, he will be the next US Senator replacing Manchin..... Progressives got what they wanted with Manchin out, now its a case of careful what ya wish for....
