And nobody has sent me a letter saying that my gas stove, furnace, clothes dryer or hot water heater need to ever be removed.

My mom has a heat pump in her house and she says it absolutely sucks for both heating and cooling and complains about her electric stove too. They don't have nat gas so she really has no choice..

Though if my appliances mess up in the future I might weigh my options since I've got the solar panels now and making excess power. LOL this month might be a wash.. It's friggin brutal outside and my air conditioner suddenly has to work overtime so the ass on fire gif is a pretty good hit.
