This actually happened not too long ago as I was approached by a Fisher Investment manager who wanted my business and after disclosing my ELTP investment and the amount, the guy apparently was convinced it was a good investment and bought some himself.

I did not go with them as they wanted 1.5% of my annual portfolio - without any guarantee - and after I checked reviews from people who had lost their shirt with them...
