Tirex isn't even listed as an accredited recycler with Recyc-Quebec--a prerequisite for receiving tipping fees and tires under the provincial recycling program.

The only good thing about the recent announcement about the tire burning operations is that the environmentalists are stirred up and the tire dump issue has been brought to the attention of the public.
