That's awesome and you will find if that you can give people those opportunities, they will return to being productive members of society. Most of them are just stuck in a rut of despair and lose hope for themselves and the world around them... I've met lots of them and even the shelters can be a short term solution but they aren't treated so well in some places and start to feel like cattle, rather than a human being, so they wind up back on the streets..

Giving someone their own space to take care of and make their own makes all the difference. It restores their faith in humanity and makes them feel like they belong back in society.. More cities should adopt these ideas.
