I know that place, visited many years ago. Uncle had a few claims there and over in "Si Watch" and near Gunny operating placer claims. Working for Homestake and Amax and others under and above ground on the Western slope was rich experience in many ways. Not far from there a recent discovery has been made. There is another mill that has operated off and on that no info is published that I can find. I know it well. I worked there for a little while then they shut again. So much history is lost and much was never told as loose lips often spell disaster... kind of like the short stumpers here trying to keep from loosing what they thought was a sure bankruptcy. Too damn bad.
