Agreed, Mx has a very highly politicized energy sector and the new el presedente has some preconceived notions/ideology in energy and quest for Green/renewables. Why I argued yesterday that NG can be argued/considered as green in the rt circumstances and by others throughout da world.

The issues is the reality of Mx present situation which are for more complex than Amlo's in 2018 and renewables alone with not solve such issues.

Mx faces increases in energy demand due to pent up demand and nearshoring..., coupled with insufficient investment in the energy infrastructure.
"Mexico has the documented obligation to reach 45 BcF of storage by 2026."MM/birthday boy lol post # 41,362. Not that they will fulfill such obligation, to Shaj point.

Also, they have a significant dependency on USA NG. (Large capacity storage could help this as usa's strategic oil reserves does for this country.)

Amlo has promised an increase in oil production, but it has declined under his administration.
Pemex financial situation is bleak. Mx/amlo has scared investment by abruptly changing legislature and regulatory changes which has halted investment. Not to mention the ability of Mx/latin America to eventually come to terms with its potential as a manufacturing base to help USA decouple from China...
a strategy that can lift all boats in the region.
The energy infrastructure needs to be built to achieve such.

Therefore, imo for the above stated factors but not limited to such factors the reality is hitting da fan for our amigos south of da border.
ideology plays a role but so does pragmatic solutions.

Why i believe she will do both wind, solar for show to placate her political side/base but NG to solve da issues. Which can be argued as green and a bridge to da future. Brazil field underneath for NG, above for wind/solar. win win lol

time will tell!
Either way it does not mean we got sh t for contracts...

The premise of Mrgers of Mx needs is valid/correct, the conclusion of Mx carrying out solution to meet its needs with mrge contracts may not be valid/correct.
We shall see soon I would imagine but many have said such (including myself) for a couple years now.
Da waiting game continues until we see who gets what contracts is announced by da powers that be/mx.

Go Mrgeeeeee

P.s. let the circular firing squad begin!
