It's okay to laugh about it now. It definitely was not one of my finer moments. I think I was maybe 17 or so at the time. The worst part was that I considered myself as a smart person and didn't unplug the damn thing before I stuck my hand in the water..
I gained an entirely new respect for electricity after that one. Even throughout my career I'm still afraid to even learn about it and I do a bunch of low voltage stuff with the security systems that wouldn't even harm a mouse if two wires crossed but I still get deathly afraid of wiring systems without someone to hold my hand..
