Living in Tampa Bay, seeing and hearing all the news in print and on the air, and one committed to real DD by verifying stories, I can say that none of these reports is based on any knowledge of Dnaprint’s involvement with M2GEN, Moffitt or Merck insofar as receiving funding from any of the later. All of that was speculation by posters fueled by overzealous posters and un-substantiated comments by Dnaprint Official(s).

To sell this deal to Tampa, Hillsborough and the State, the players had to show as much benefit to Hillsborough county as possible; meaning jobs and occupiers of real estate. Dnaprint was mentioned as one of the companies interested in locating close to the new USF/M2GEN/Moffitt facility. All we have the right to conclude so far is that Dnaprint is willing to spend more money to get close to M2GEN. One on-air reporter noted that these companies like to be close to one another.

There has been no affirmation by Moffitt or updates concerning Dnaprint / Moffitt trials or collaborations since 2004 from anyone credible and that collaboration expired last year. Any new trial or collaboration would require public notification if it were a material event which could effect the value of the company.

To buy into the Dnaprint M2GEN dream at this point would require feeling there is some super secret deal cemented but not culminated in writing until an opportune time. Hope so, I bought that, but there is no solid reason to believe that at this juncture.

What we do know is that Merck got their deal done and having a handful of companies willing to invest in Merck's project didn't hurt Merck. Are those other companies hyping deals with Merck on bulletin boards? Could be, haven’t checked. If they are I bet they are funded by Brooks and Donson or a race car driver lol. (sorry couldn’t resist)

If Dnaprint moves out of Manatee County to Hillsborough County the result is a gain of 20 "well paying" jobs to Hillsbougough. That's all the news and politicians care about. BTW there was a noticeable lack of comment from the Sarasota County press. (Dnaprint moved out of Saratsota recently). No way those guys will give DNAG any press unless it is real, and I suspect the Manatee Press will be more careful about repeating Dnaprint Official(s) comments without verification of claims in the future.

Now, I am like the rest of you interested in this, except for the hypers that is. It does seem that Dnaprint has a lot of irons in the fire and some of them could or should be relevant in the mix here. What is irritating and worth questioning is the lack of accountability and the historical misleading of investors by the company and the promoters. I would strongly suspect the troubling period around 2005 would have made it difficult for any prestigious institution(s) to be named with Dnaprint. More troubling was the report that "both Gomez and Dnaprint" will be involved with the Moffit M2GEN project. Is there a difference between Gomez and Dnaprint? Moffitt isn't afraid to announce real collaborations. On Feb 15 they announced a predictive test not related to Dnaprint, So why not announce any Dnaprint test developed in collaboration with Moffitt?

The most hopefull thing I saw lately was DD dr fu mentioned. I consider him objective and misjudged. I just hope that the one time he bought into something positive he came across and took a stand on, that it wasn't wrong. How sad that would be. I have unique resources and I can't find whatever he was referring too, but I hope he is right.
