Someone's doing their homework. Toyota has been involved with HEVs for quite some time. Unlike the rest of the industry, which jumped on the electric vehicle (EV) bandwagon,(to make a profit without considering the long-term effects). Toyota took a different approach to reducing its carbon footprint. While EVs do have zero emissions, most people overlook the environmental impact of extracting the raw minerals needed to build the batteries. The primary bi product of hydrogen when used in fuel cells is water (H2O). This process is clean, with the only emissions being water vapor and heat, making hydrogen fuel cells an environmentally friendly alternative. People are beginning to voice concerns about EVs, particularly regarding the availability of recharging stations in highly populated areas and their limited range.
