at last report, but apparently, they're in negotiations to retain his services. (The filing actually says that).

On a side note, I was told by someone familiar with the wreck, that the communications cables are outside the wreck area, so that may not be what gave the hit as I suggested. It could be copper sheathing, cookware, or navigational equipment.

Regardless, they've claimed the device identifies and differentiates metals, but why didn't they identify the metal(s)?
