I still blame Powell. HE is the one that gave rise to the hope of interest rate cuts. Then he backed off it. I think Powell should simply say that "a rate cut will be considered when we feel that it is warranted". Then every meeting, simply say that "we don't think a rate cut is warranted at this time". And THAT is IT. All the other talk and negativity should be suppressed. Traders hang on his every word and the market reacts.

Yes, I agree that the Fed is DEFINENTLY politically invested. Shouldn't be but it is.
