VERY OT: quick little personal thingy... My son flew over to London yesterday, he's representing his company as a member of their soccer team in a charity tournament at Stamford Bridge Stadium (where the soccer club Chelsea plays) amongst teams from Private Equity/Investment Bankers from across the world. His team has players from their NYC, Chicago and Italy offices. And he's the only player on the team who has not played college soccer (he played in HS, but he wasn't a starter). But the guy who picked his team is a buddy of his (and that guy was drafted but never played in MLS soccer). As normal, I just found out last week.. I was thinking about flying out to see it; but I am told I might not be allowed in the stadium. And he has also arranged the after tourney party for the team at some bar... or club... or pub..
Oh, and I will just add I am going to see the Rolling Stones on Thursday... I've seen tons of music shows .. but never the Stones.. better late than never. Plus, two free tickets in some corporate box dropped in my lap... so .... wt heck.
