Last one on deadbeat renters: 10 years ago one of my adult sons girl split on him. Couldn't pay the rent, he was 30 days late. He came home from work and sheriff's were there with property manager to change lock and evict him. He was never served & he told them that. Manager said "when we came by with notice, you weren't home"! (He was at work & they didn't leave anything for him!) He pleaded for some time to move his stuff. They were "generous" and said "we'll be back in 2 hours". He took all his furniture, clothes, etc & threw it on the sidewalk until he could get a truck. Punishment for being a deadbeat. No shit.
