No doubt those shares were sold short by MMs.

Whatever shares were sold short will need to be covered at prices below $.0175 by MMs. I have no reason to doubt that MMs will be able to cover those shorts easily. Most likely before the end of the week.

So I agree that MVNT share price will not be able to hold above $.0175. Unfortunate, but likely true.

Now if MVNT released some positive material news before MMs can cover their shorts. then it's possible MVNT could stay above $.02. However, I regard this scenario as highly unlikely.

Anyway, today's action does show how quickly MVNT could move up with real sustained buying.
