zab, How could companies still be doing this. What is it in companies

"Schwab lost, Daten had a trading platform built for day traders. You could execute many trades fast. People do not understand trading, it was trading between the bid and ask, as long size of trade was small. There are windows during the day to do this. Ameritrade kept the format intact, and if anything, protected it. Schwab bought Ameritrade thinking it was gaining customers, but they did away with the platform. Schwab lost those traders, including me. But I have been trading for decades, I use my other accounts. Companies always think they buy a competitor they get the customers, big mistake."

that would have them not understanding the market environment as you do. Assuming what you said there is all as it happened, how come?? Surely when a company buys another as that they are looking at the bottom line??? Which i would guess is customers. Surely there must be some other consideration involved??

Just wondering how companies can get it wrong as simply as you seem to put it there. As you put it it sounds just like a we buy a company .. yay good .. a macho thing while missing the bottom line. Surely there must be more than that??

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
