The fact is that ghosting a paying member who is simply asking - FOR THE FIRST TIME - for an explanation - especially when he has a pretty good line of reasoning, is not appropriate.
Is it really the first time, or just the first time in that context? Had you argued about other deletions on that board? If you have a post deleted that you feel shouldn't have been deleted, the appropriate thing to do is request an admin review. If your post is restored, you can conclude that admin agreed it wasn't a violation; if it isn't restored, you can conclude that she believed it was a violation.
If the latter--and if you continue to have posts deleted--you need to figure out why that's happening. Usually it is not difficult. Then stop doing whatever it is, whether you agree with that aspect of the TOU or not. That will solve your problem.
Have you made any Admin Review requests? I'm betting not. As a mod, I concluded long ago that just about nobody does, because they'd rather complain publicly. And that will just lead to more post deletions.
