We'll have to see if that becomes a trend then. I'm skeptical, but I can't say I know enough one way or another.

I heard a discussion some time ago about building parking structure with the ultimate goal of converting them to residential spaces as well, (should we ever mature as a society 🙂). I've heard similar discussions about our obsolescing shopping malls. There certainly are plenty of people to house, and these structures already come with retail space, gardens and communal dining areas. Power's there. Plumbing them can't be too difficult.

Again, doable, but it takes reimagining a lot of how we live and how we allocate resources societally. I'm not sure why we can't get there, but I don't think we have yet.
