It isn't how many shares are traded that makes a stock go up or down, it is whether people are hitting the ask (to buy the stock and make it go up) or hitting the bid (to sell the stock and make it go down).

For example, up until now, there have been about 61 million shares sold and 56.5 million shares bought.
