Yes. Times were different though. We were allowed to be kids and roam the streets until dark. Both of my parents trusted me and put me in my place if they didn't.

They both had to work full time jobs for us to get by so we relied on their neighbors and friends of which nobody had problems with until jackass little jacy caused commotions.
