Thx Jbog Just to be clear ...and it's none of my business so ignore if necessary ...the cysts were liquid filled ? I thought that was one of the markers of ADPKD

After a couple tests they determined they were liquid filled rather than solid so I was basically in the clear.

A Perplexity search
The cysts in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) are fluid-filled sacs that develop within the kidneys.
The symptoms of ADPKD are caused by the growth of these fluid-filled cysts in the kidneys. As the cysts expand, they can cause the kidneys to become enlarged and gradually lose function over time.
The cyst fluid itself contains various substances that promote further cyst growth and expansion. Studies have shown that the cyst fluid stimulates cellular proliferation, fluid secretion, and cyst formation when added to cultured renal epithelial cells. The cyst fluid contains potent substances that augment biological processes leading to progressive cyst expansion in ADPKD.
So in summary, the hallmark of ADPKD is the development of numerous liquid-filled cysts within the kidneys, which are the primary cause of the disease manifestations and complications as the cysts progressively enlarge over time.
