Buying a lotto ticket in trips with throwaway money is something people do for a few reasons.

Not selling a significant portion when a trip stock has moved 1,000+ % is just bad trading.

This idea that one must tithe by showing loyalty in HOLDING is the refrain of the bag holder that doesn't have an exit strategy.
